The body of a 10-year-old Mombasa boy, who went missing last Sunday, was on Thursday, July 12 found in a ‘gunia’ (sack).
The boy, Francis Abubakar, was dumped at Bakarani in Kisauni.
Abubakar’s body was discovered by passersby, who spotted his legs protruding from the ‘gunia’.
According to Mombasa County police boss, Johnston Ipara, Abubakar went missing from home under unclear circumstances at 8pm Sunday.
Abubakar’s body was moved to Coast General Hospital mortuary, as investigations into his death begin.
Mr Ipara urged parents to ensure their children get home before dusk to avert predicaments similar to Abubakar’s.
