A 28-year old man in Kampung Pasir Jonge, Indonesia, reportedly killed his pregnant neighbour for continuously enquiring about his marital status.
Faiz Nurdin has been accused of strangling 32–year-old Aisyah to death after she urged him to get married as soon as possible since almost everybody already was.
According to a spokesperson from the police force, the suspect had revealed that Aisyah said to him, “Faiz get married, the others are already married, why aren’t you getting married yet?”
“These words offended the suspect,” further revealed the spokesperson.
Faiz is then said to have visited Aisyah later on that day and strangled her to death with his bare hands in her bedroom.
According to the authorities, Faiz then fled to Kalideres, Jakarta after stealing the deceased’s smartphone and money amounting to $59 (Ksh5, 950.)
He was, however, caught during a raid during which his motorcycle and other belongings were seized.
He also suffered a shot in the leg.
