Tanzanian musician Nandy says she was to tie the knot with the late Clouds Media Group director of programmes Ruge Mutahaba, who died on February 26, 2019.

Her revelation comes as a surprise to many, given their relationship wasn’t known by members of the public.

Nandy, whose real name is Faustina Charles Mfinanga, made those remarks in a recent interview on Tanzania’s Ayo TV.

Nandy said she and Ruge were to exchange wedding vows in March this year.

The 26-year-old musician said her relationship with Ruge was three years old by the time he died.

The “Ninogeshe” star said she and Ruge had introduced each other to their respective families, and had even received their parents’ blessings to proceed with wedding plans.

Nandy said she did not post about their relationship on social media because they did not want their love life affected by the “negative energy” on social networking platforms.

Ruge Mutahaba succumbed to kidney failure at a South African hospital on February 26. He was 49 years old.
