A court in Marsabit has sentenced Kituruni Sub-Location assistant chief Emmanuel Lengolei to 20 years in jail for defiling his 15-year-old daughter.
The court heard that Lengolei sexually assaulted the minor on March 26 and 27, with a failed attempt on March 28.
The incidents happened at Lengolei’s home in Marsabit.
The victim, a Class Six pupil, narrated to the court how Lengolei committed the heinous act on her.
Marsabit Resident Magistrate Tom Mbayaki Wafula on Thursday, November 15 found the suspect guilty of the offence, and sentenced him to two decades in jail.
Lengolei had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
